A Higgledy-Piggledy Jumble of Answers

Let’s jump right in.

Did you try out the portrait-matching “search with your selfie” feature in Google’s Arts & Culture app? Results?

I tend to avoid these things, as facebook meme spam. But I’ll do it for you.

What place in the world would you most like to visit at the moment and why?

Perhaps I shouldn’t answer this at nearly 10pm on a Friday. My brain is a bit of a jumble. There are lots of places, but I can’t name any specific at the moment. I want to adventure everywhere I haven’t been, and there are people I miss, and I’d love to visit.

When did you last cut your hair?

I haven’t cut my hair for several years. Only several, because I do admit to trimming my fringe. When was the last time I had my hair cut? A few weeks ago. I probably should make an appointment for the next few weeks. I had to straighten it this morning to make it look decent. It did look good though. See photos above.

What was the last gift that you received?

This afternoon I caught up with a new friend. She gave me the gift of time. Oh, you mean something physical? Possibly the ginger tea from Eileen at Christmas? That’s a question because it’s weirdly kind of a complicated question. Next?

Have you considered going completely offline for a month? Describe foreseen pros/cons.

But I’d miss you. And I’d go broke. The internet is what makes it easy to live so far from my favorite people. And also a long way from my clients.

That said, I’m starting to detest facebook more and more, but it’s possibly the armchair judges on Facebook. Life is difficult and complicated. Those who argue it’s black and white really just are arguing their lives are naively simple and possibly privileged. So I do pull back on there and have left a couple of facebook groups that criticize anyone who doesn’t match their filter bubble.

Stopping the rant now.

What did you have for dinner last night?

I took a photo when this question came in. Let me find it:

I have a lot of breakfast photos…

Oh, that looks unappealing. Tonight was green chicken curry with rice. Much better.

If you could acquire any skill, what would you choose?

Only one? The only thing I got from The Matrix was wanting the ability to download new knowledge.

Ok, this is kind of random. I want to learn to braid my own hair or play an instrument. Two skills I want but don’t want enough to put the effort in to learn them.

Thanks for the questions. I like the random jumble here. I left out one amazingly brilliant question. It suggested telling a story in Lego photos. I need more time, and it deserves its own post.

Do you have something to ask me?
