And it may be permanent.
The domain renewal email arrived this morning. “This is an automated courtesy email that you have one or more domain names with renewal dates within five days”. It made me wonder: what would happen if I just didn’t renew MassConsternation.com? Would the world end? No. Would I stop reading books? No. Would I lose years of content? Yes.
Losing years of content and all the photography would be sad, which is why I’m renewing the domain, but choosing not to post anymore. I’m calling it a hiatus, but it may be permanent.
I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m making such an extreme move. This website and reading books to a schedule have become stressful and hard work, then I just push them further down the to do list. I have a long full-time client contract, a few side freelance clients, four websites, an attempt to work on my fitness, and an incredibly accommodating partner. And friends, etc to fit in the same seven days a week everyone has. Alas that has meant my reading is stalled and the to do list grows. And I’m just not enjoying MassConsternation.com as much.
For those interested in what I read, please connect on GoodReads. The site that’s moving up in importance is TapDancingSpiders.com. It was my first site and needs a lot more love than I’ve been giving it the last two years. I invite you to check it out and sign up for the free hashtag holidays list, if that interests you.
